You may see ancient Yakusugi cedars in Yakusugi Land. The scenery of the virgin forest is very similar to the world heritage registered area. There are many conifers such as Japanese hemlock and Yakusugi cedars in Yakusugi Land but the characteristic of this forest is a mixed forest of many broad-leaved trees and conifers. This is due to the climate being similar to southwestern and northern Japan.Camellia, evergreen oak, mountain ash and aralia can also be found in this forest. At Yakusugi Land, you can see many distinctive Yakusugi cedars such as Sennensugi which literally means thousand-year-old cedar, Kugurisugi (Tunnel Cedar), and Buddhasugi (Buddha Cedar).
