屋久島・種子島への来島を予定されている皆様へ

　全国で新型コロナウイルスの感染が再び拡大するなか、鹿児島県（離島を含め）でも新たな感染者が相次いで確認されています。
　同じ離島である屋久島・種子島でも同様の事態が生じた場合、医療体制の脆弱さもあり医療崩壊など大きな影響が考えられます。

　今年の夏、屋久島・種子島への来島を予定されている皆様には、感染予防の観点から次のことをお願いします。

▶︎マスクの着用、手指消毒、身体的距離の確保などの感染症予防に努めて下さい。
▶︎来島前、来島後において、毎日の体調、行動履歴等を把握して下さい。
▶︎体調がすぐれない時は、来島の延期や中止を検討して下さい。
▶︎新型コロナウイルス接触確認アプリ（COCOA）等を活用して下さい。

　屋久島・種子島は、高齢者の多い地域でもあり、島で感染が拡大した場合、憂慮すべき事態に発展することは容易に想像できます。
　自分が感染しない、他人に感染させないために、「新しい生活様式」の実践を含む最大限の配慮をお願いいたします。

Joint Message from the Mayors of Yakushima and Tanegashima
– Request to Potential Visitors to Yakushima and Tanegashima 

　
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreaks have been increasing again throughout Japan. Kagoshima Prefecture including some of its surrounding islands has confirmed new cases of COVID-19.
If a similar situation were to occur in Yakushima and/or Tanegashima, our regional medical care facilities would be overwhelmed making medical care difficult.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we would like for all potential visitors to cooperate with the following requests.

▶ Please make sure to wear masks, use hand sanitizers, and keep your distances from one another. 

▶ Please keep a record of your movements (before and after your visit), as much as possible, in case you get infected.

▶ If you don’t feel well, please postpone or cancel your visit. 

▶ The use of COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application (COCOA) on your smartphone is recommended. 

Because many elderly people live on Yakushima and Tanegashima, it is not hard to imagine that COVID-19 infections will possibly have a life-threatening issue for them. 

In order not to contract COVID-19 and infect other people, we are requesting people to adhere to the “New Norm of Lifestyle”.
