The East China Sea Viewpoint is located between Isso Village and Yoshida Village, about 33 minutes by car (23.4 km) from the airport. When you came out of the tunnel, a panoramic view of the East China Sea can be seen. The East China Sea Viewpoint offers the breathtaking view of the sunset that looks like the sun is melting into the ocean. On a clear day you can even see Kuchinoerabujima, Kuroshima, Iwojima, and Takeshima islands. Both Kuchinoerabujima and Iwojima are active volcanic islands. During an eruption, plums of ash are a common sight.
